Changes, delays and payment disagreements can develop into substantial construction disputes. Assessing these disputes requires a clear account of what happened, how the contract allocates responsibility, and what the evidence establishes about the resulting time and cost.
 
In this CLE webinar, Christian Johansen, Managing Partner at Bruun & Hjejle, will examine how to prepare, evaluate and resolve construction claims, using the FIDIC 2017 conditions as the principal framework. Through practical examples, he will explore how to substantiate variations, distinguish delay from disruption, assess entitlement to additional time and compensation, and preserve claims through timely notices and contemporaneous records. The program will also address unforeseen site conditions, payment disputes and contractual approaches to allocating risk.
