South Dakota MCLE Requirements:
Attorneys in South Dakota are not currently required to complete MCLE (Mandatory Continuing Legal Education) to maintain their active status with the State Bar of South Dakota. However, voluntary CLE participation is strongly encouraged to promote continued professional development and competency. Many South Dakota attorneys choose to attend approved live seminars, webinars, or on-demand courses to stay informed about legal developments and to meet CLE requirements for other jurisdictions in which they are licensed.
How to Obtain CLE Credit for a Knowledge Group Course in South Dakota:
South Dakota does not have mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements, although its members are encouraged to engage in such continuing legal education as is necessary to maintain their competence to practice law.
